I was born in the city of Kingston on the Island of Jamaica. I gave my life to the Lord at a very young age. Growing up on the Island was not easy, and I never did everything right in my life, but God had His hand on me. Later in my life the Lord called me to full-time ministry and I surrendered. I came to this country to further my Biblical studies and now I am the pastor of this wonderful church. I have learned in my life being obedient to God gives me peace of mind. God has transformed this city slicker from Kingston, Jamaica to a Pennsylvania Dutch country man.
To God be the Glory, Great things He has done!
Tulpehocken Church was established in 1727. It was founded on the beliefs of the German Reformed Church Settlers in the area. The church acquired 100 acres of land from Caspar Wistar, which is situated in Richland PA, right outside of Myerstown and at the border of Berks County. The church has a rich Pennsylvania Dutch history but still caters to the needs of a more modern church. We pay a yearly tribute to the Wistar Family of one red rose called the Rose Feast Celebration. This church is one of the oldest churches in the United States, as it is older than the United States itself. If you are ever in the area, stop by for a visit, as this church provides a mixture of traditional and modern worship.
We believe Jesus was born on this earth as God incarnate and died on the Cross of Calvary for the sins of humanity. We stand on the belief that all paths taken must lead to Jesus Christ as the only one that forgives sin and that salvation is found only in Him. John 14:6,
Romans 6:23
We believe in the Holy Scriptures, The Bible as the word of God. We believe God inspired men to write His word to guide and instruct us on how we should live and serve Him. We believe it is infallible and is sufficient to lead man to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
2 Timothy 3:16-17
We believe in the Trinity; God the Father, God the Son & God the Holy Spirit. We believe each are equal in the God Head and have different roles as they function as the Triune God.
Matthew 28:19, 1 Peter 1:1-2
We believe in the unity of Marriage instituted by God from the creation of mankind. We believe in the union of one Man and one Woman as was given to us by the Holy Scriptures. Genesis 2:24, Ephesians 5:31; 33
